Nikolaj brings extensive experience to the Optikos Prime team. With over 25 years of expertise in the premium eyewear industry, he played a pivotal role in shaping the sector's evolution in Asia, founding the first foreign independent eyewear company in China in 2003. His groundbreaking work introduced luxury eyewear brands to the Chinese market, setting new standards for premium optical products.
Nikolaj subsequently served as Global Chief Commercial Officer at the Danish eyewear company Lindberg, where he spearheaded global sales strategies, brand positioning, and market expansion for their high-end collections. His sharp business acumen and deep understanding of consumer behaviour have consistently delivered outstanding results in competitive markets.
Originally from Denmark, Nikolaj’s lifelong passion for art, design, and fashion inspires his relentless pursuit of style, craftsmanship, and technical innovation. His unique ability to merge aesthetics with functionality reflects a career dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what luxury eyewear can be.
At OptikosPrime, Nikolaj will be focusing on Global Business Development and will work close with our COO, Ståle Fredlund Husby.
What do you do to unwind?
I immerse myself in the natural beauty that surrounds me. I engage in activities such as skiing, hiking and spending time by the lakes. These activities help me relax and recharge, perfectly balancing my professional life.
Where do you live, and what's a must-do activity in your hometown?
I reside in Lugano, Switzerland, known for its scenic lakeside setting and vibrant culture. Skiing around Engadin is a must, as it has charming views and a peaceful atmosphere.
